Following last month's AGM, I can advise you that the league season will commences on the 18th September. We will also have 7 teams. The new team will play from Pudsey Congs (as their B team) and will be captained by Mick Hirst. As there will be an odd number of teams, then each week, one of the seven teams will have a bye.

I have now published a fixture list on the appropriate page. Thanks to the new League Chairman, James Butcher, who has drawn up the new fixtures. Due to the fact that more matches will be played, it was also agreed that the Individual Merit and Pairs matches will need to be played "in and amongst" all the other fixtures. It is hoped that you will be able to utilise alternative dates/times, with your opponents agreement, to ensure your matches are played before the due date. In addition, we have moved the Team Knockout matches to the end of the season. They will be played after league competition is concluded.

The AGM also agreed that we should introduce a Code of Conduct to be implemented from the start of the 25/26 season. Therefore James Butcher, John Allan, Stephen Kershaw and myself have all been considering what does and what doesn't need to be on it. I will publish it to this website as soon as it has been agreed to by the committee. When published, it will be displayed at all our venues and should be read by all playing members, to ensure there are no misunderstandings. Thanks to all our members who have helped us to research and contribute to this subject.

The next meeting will be held on Thursday the 4th September 2025 at St Andrews 7:30pm. Immediately following that meeting, our players handicaps will be assessed and amended where appropriate. I will publish them as soon as possible afterwards.
